Kelly Raley-Reyes grew up dancing at Susan’s Academy of Dance in Daphne, AL, and later at Sheffield School of the Dance in Mobile, AL. During her competitive career, Kelly won numerous awards and scholarships. She had the opportunity to take classes and summer intensives in Los Angeles at Millennium Dance Complex.  She also traveled as an assistant with Tremaine Dance Convention for several years. With Tremaine, Kelly was a part of the performance company and performed at the Jazz Dance World Congress in Chicago as well as the Jazz Festival at the University of Arizona.

She attended college at the University of South Alabama where she became a member of the USA Prowlers, serving as a captain her final two years. During her time with the Prowlers, Kelly competed in the Universal Dance Association (UDA) Dance Team National Championship Finals for three consecutive years, earning a 3rd place finish during the 2007 season.

After graduating with her bachelor’s degree in public relations, Kelly was given the opportunity to teach and inspire others through dance as a UDA staff instructor.  She traveled across the country and taught high school and college camps.  Kelly was selected by UDA to dance in the annual MDA Labor Day Telethon, televised nationally on PBS.  She was also a two-time recipient of the UDA Veteran of the Year Award.

Locally, Kelly served as the choreographer for the Spanish Fort High School Dance Team during the 2013-14 academic year.  She taught for 10 years at Susan’s Academy of Dance. Kelly is excited to return to the Sheffield family where she will direct the mini company alongside Jillian Wallace. She is humbled and honored to share her love of dance with a new generation of Sheffield’s dancers.

She is married to Reggie Reyes and they are the proud parents of two beautiful daughters, Ryleigh (6) and Isabelle (1).
